“We cannot stand by as thousands of people are suffering from the loss of their homes, loved ones, and futures. The Dodgers are a family – and family never abandons each other,” – the team representative shared.

The historic flash floods have left many areas in Texas completely isolated, dozens of people are missing, thousands of homes are swept away or severely damaged. In that context, the Dodgers’ donation is not just a financial figure, but also a deep act of empathy for the pain of the people.

According to the Texas Emergency Relief Organization, a portion of the money will be used to provide food, medicine, temporary housing and equipment to support the search for missing people. The rest will help rebuild schools, hospitals and local communities.

The Dodgers’ actions have been praised by fans across the country as a testament to the fact that sports is more than just a game – it is where hearts are lit and connected. Many players on the team also participated in personal donation campaigns, sending condolences to grieving families and calling on the community to join in helping.
