Lilly will no longer have to endure the cold or the fatigue induced by pregnancy. This cat was, in fact, taken care of by an association after her discovery by a resident in front of his home.
A cat abandoned by her owner, then probably saved by a neighbor who left a letter, was placed in a shelter , reported The Star .
A resident of Rotherham in Yorkshire, England, was surprised to discover a cat carrier outside his home on the morning of Wednesday, November 16. As he approached the object, he discovered a calico cat , as well as a message from the author asking that she be taken care of.
He then viewed the images recorded by his surveillance camera and noticed that someone had dropped the animal off around 3 a.m., when it was 8°C.
In the letter in question, it is specified that the cat’s name is Lilly . “ Please take care of that pussy. She was abandoned by a neighbor and had already had 2 litters this year ,” we read. The author adds that Lilly was starving and that if nothing had been done, she would have become pregnant a third time .
Contacted, the local animal protection association Rain Rescue intervened quickly. She placed the cat in her shelter, where she was examined by her veterinarians . As the cat is not chipped , the volunteers will probably never be able to find its owner.
“A scared and lost little lady”
“She is a scared and lost little lady right now, not knowing if she will ever come home ,” Rain Rescue said on its Facebook page .
Within the association, we do not yet know when she will be available for adoption. What is certain, however, is that Lilly will no longer suffer from the cold , hunger and fatigue induced by pregnancy.
Rain Rescue has appealed for donations to help care for the cat.
