Wemby’s got a chance to be Top 5 all-time. Who is going to be better than Wemby in 5 years? He’s still gonna be 25. I don’t see anybody doing what he’s doing

Achieving a Top 5 status in the NBA is a significant achievement that only a select few players can lay claim to. It signifies a level of talent and skill that sets them apart from the rest of the players in the league. The likes of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James are examples of players who have attained such status.
Looking at his rookie season, Wemby can also make a strong case for an All-Time status in the future. Many analysts have also proclaimed Wemby as the next big thing in the NBA. Certain elements of his game need improving, something even NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal mentioned recently. If so, the sky is the limit for the French star.
With the addition of Chris Paul to the Spurs, Wemby will certainly have a better sophomore year. Paul is known to be one of the best leaders in the NBA and will certainly elevate Wemby’s game to new heights. The Spurs lacked in quality playmaking. With ‘Point God’ in the team, Wemby can make a big leap forward next season.
Victor Wembanyama had one of the most dominant rookie seasons
The San Antonio Spurs are known to draft great talent first overall, as seen before in Tim Duncan and David Robinson. Last year the Spurs did the same by drafting another promising future talent in Victor Wembanyama. The hype around Wemby before entering the league was on another level.
Throughout the season, Wemby dominated the game with his size and versatility on both ends of the floor. Fans were amazed to see a guy with Wemby’s stature be so quick on the court. He even set many records in his rookie season and led the league in blocks as a rookie. Overall, Wemby’s performance exceeded expectations and solidified him as a standout player in the league.
Even in the Olympics, the 20-year-old Frenchman carried the French team to the finals of the Olympics. Despite putting on a great performance in the finals, France could not defeat the stacked Team USA. Wemby, after the game, issued a warning to the world about what they would see in the future. As such, the future looks exciting as long the French star remains injury-free and plays to his full potential.
