A lost puppy was located 310 miles away from its home and reunited with its family. The puppy, named Bandit, is a Malinois dog born on May 7, 2020. He was taken from his owner when he was just 4 months old. Bandit, now a year old, was stolen on September 15, 2020. Fortunately, the police found him using his microchip and were able to locate his owner, who lived hundreds of kilometers away. The owner expressed excitement and joy during the phone call, as he was finally reunited with his beloved dog after 8 months of separation. The reunion was a heartwarming moment as Bandit and his owner embraced.
Bandit, the stolen dog, was taken from his owner at a very young age of 4 months. He was found 310 miles away from his home without a collar. Thankfully, Bandit had a microchip that eventually led to his owner. After being apart for four months, the stolen dog was finally back with its owner, a touching moment documented in heartwarming images that circulated online. The reunion was made possible by SPA Montpellier, an animal protection association under the Federation for the Protection of Animals.
SPA Montpellier is a nonprofit organization funded by donations and legacies, operating since 2010 in Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone, Hérault, in the Occitanie region. The Montpellier MM SPA shelter provides a safe haven for abandoned, abused, and stray dogs and cats, offering them a comfortable and eco-friendly environment.
Bandit was found hundreds of kilometers away from home, and SPA Montpellier played a crucial role in reuniting him with his owner. The association shared the heartwarming story with a successful ending on their Facebook page. A reunion was arranged, and thanks to the extraordinary efforts of the rescuers, the microchip, and Bandit’s resilience, he and his owner, Farid, were able to be together once again.
Farid promptly went to retrieve Bandit. He stated, “I am incredibly grateful to everyone who played a part in this reunion. I cannot stress enough the importance of microchipping your pet. Bringing Bandit home was one of the happiest days of my life.”
