Brittany Mahomes has made it clear that her newborn daughter, Golden Raye, will not be making an appearance on social media anytime soon.
The Kansas City Chiefs WAG took to Instagram to clarify the situation after a video posted by personal trainer Betina Gozo Shimonek sparked confusion among fans.
Fan Confusion Leads to Clarification
The mix-up began when Betina shared a behind-the-scenes clip of a workout session where she was multitasking—training Brittany while also keeping an eye on her own daughter, Makao, and watching over Golden Raye.
She captioned the video:
“Triple duty: @brittanylynne’s Trainer – Makoa’s Momma – Golden’s Babysitter,” along with a laughing emoji.
The video featured one baby visible in a bouncer, while another was concealed in a stroller nearby. Fans quickly assumed that the baby in the bouncer was Golden Raye, leading to speculation online.
In response, Brittany reshared the video on her Instagram story, explaining that her seven-week-old daughter was actually in the stroller, out of view.
“I think I need to clarify, Golden is in the stroller,” Brittany wrote. “You can’t see her and won’t for a while.”
Her message made it clear that, unlike her older children, Golden Raye will not be publicly shown for the foreseeable future.
Life as a Family of Five
Brittany and Patrick Mahomes welcomed their third child, Golden Raye Mahomes, on January 12, 2025, just weeks before the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LIX loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Despite the looming NFL playoffs, Patrick was able to be by Brittany’s side for the birth, thanks to Kansas City’s first-round bye.
In the lead-up to the divisional round game against the Houston Texans, Patrick reflected on the joy of expanding their family, praising Brittany for handling the birth like a champ.
“It’s been cool. I mean, I’m just supporting. Brittany crushed it,” he said.
He also revealed that, even in the hospital, he managed to keep up with the NFL playoffs, joking that Brittany was kind enough to let him watch football while she was preparing to give birth.
“It was cool that football was on TV when I was in the hospital, so I got to watch a little bit,” he admitted. “Brittany was kind enough to let us watch football while she was getting ready to give birth to our second daughter.”
A Tough Start to 2025 for the Mahomes Family
While the birth of Golden Raye brought joy to the Mahomes family, their start to 2025 has also been marked by loss and heartbreak.
Just days after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl defeat, Patrick’s grandfather, Randy Mahomes, passed away at age 78 after receiving hospice care.
In the wake of the emotional whirlwind, Brittany and Patrick have been making an effort to spend quality time together.
Last Thursday night, Brittany shared a sweet selfie of the couple on a date night, snuggled up at a restaurant. She later posted pictures of their desserts, captioning the moment with a simple: “Date night” and a white-heart emoji.
Earlier in the week, the couple also made a public appearance at a Texas Tech basketball game, sitting courtside as Patrick watched his alma mater take on the Houston Cougars. Unfortunately for the Mahomeses, Texas Tech lost 69-61.
A Different Approach to Social Media
Unlike their older children, Sterling Skye and Bronze, who have been featured in social media posts since birth, Brittany and Patrick appear to be taking a more private approach with Golden Raye.
While Brittany didn’t explain why they’re keeping their youngest daughter off social media, her clear statement suggests that it will be a while before fans catch a glimpse of their newest addition.
For now, the Mahomes family is focusing on adjusting to life as a family of five, navigating the highs and lows of NFL stardom, personal milestones, and family privacy—all while remaining in the public eye.
