Sean “Diddy” Combs has managed to connect with his children following his recent arrest on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
Reports indicate that Diddy, a father of seven, has been able to have brief phone conversations with family members and his children. This communication comes amid claims that the music mogul has been eager to reach out to his kids. An insider shared, “[Diddy] is very concerned about his kids and their well-being.” Notably, he has three minor children, two of whom are now without any living parent while he remains incarcerated. In total, four of his seven children currently lack a parent due to his situation.
One source close to Diddy’s family described the children as being “in a state of crisis and shock” following his arrest. Diddy is the adoptive father of Quincy Brown, the son of his late ex-girlfriend Kim Porter and her former husband, 1980s R&B artist Al B. Sure! He is also the biological father of Justin and Christian, as well as twins Jessie and D’Lila, along with daughters Love and Chance.
Diddy welcomed Jessie and D’Lila, along with Quincy and Christian, with Kim, who passed away at 47 in 2018 due to pneumonia. His son Justin is from a previous relationship with stylist Misa Hylton, while Chance is with Sarah Chapman and Love is with Dana Tran.
Sources close to the Combs family informed TMZ last week that Diddy was eager to contact his children. The family has been offering each other moral support during this challenging time and seeking spiritual guidance, with friends attempting to provide strength for Diddy’s kids.
Diddy was taken into custody by Homeland Security agents last Monday, a few months after the agency executed searches of his residences in Los Angeles and Miami in connection with sexual assault lawsuits against him.
He faces charges of felony sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation for prostitution, to which he has pleaded not guilty. Currently, he is being held without bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York.
During his arraignment on Monday, Diddy’s son Christian was seen reading through the rapper’s 14-page indictment. After the judge ruled that Diddy would remain in custody without bail, the rapper turned to Christian and other family members present in the courtroom, placing his hand on his heart in a moment of connection.
