Sean “Diddy” Combs recently sparked attention after a resurfaced interview in which he mentioned inviting Prince William and Prince Harry to one of his parties.
This comes on the heels of Diddy’s arrest last week related to numerous civil lawsuits accusing him of sex trafficking, sexual abuse, and rape. The allegations center around notorious “Freak Off” parties, where victims are said to have been drugged and coerced into sexual activities.
Despite the serious charges, Combs’ legal team maintains that he is “an innocent man with nothing to hide.” Amid these allegations, a clip from Combs’ appearance on *The Graham Norton Show* has resurfaced. In a 2011 interview, when asked by Graham if he intended to invite the royal brothers to his party, Diddy humorously remarked, “Not anymore, they’re off the list. But before, when they were young bucks, they were getting up to trouble themselves. So I was like, ‘Hey, why don’t you come out and hang with me?'”
There is, however, no evidence that the Duke and Prince ever attended any of Diddy’s events. Notably, Prince Harry has been named in one of the lawsuits against Diddy, but he is not accused of any wrongdoing. The lawsuit, first filed in February, claims that individuals are drawn to Combs due to his connections with high-profile figures like Harry.
Both princes met Diddy during a 2007 event, where they hosted a party to thank participants of the “Concert for Diana” at Wembley Stadium. Diddy performed his 1997 hit “I’ll Be Missing You,” originally a tribute to the Notorious B.I.G. Following the concert, William was photographed shaking hands with Diddy, while Harry was seen embracing him and rapper Kanye West.
Representatives for both the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex have been contacted for comments regarding the situation.
