TORONTO − After being shut out by the Athletics on Saturday, the Yankees rode Jazz Chisholm Jr.’s four RBI, Aaron Judge’s two homers and Cody Bellinger’s three-run shot to a 12-5 victory Sunday.
That allowed the Yankees to win a series against the A’s, occupying last place in the AL West, prior to opening a four-game set against the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre.
It’ll be an interesting matchup in Monday night’s opener, with Yankees lefty Carlos Rodon opposing future Hall-of-Famer Max Scherzer, making just his second start (and third of the season) since coming back from a right thumb injury.
