Charlotte’s is a fairly unusual story that you don’t hear often. The woman, pregnant with twins, ᴄᴏɴᴄᴇɪᴠᴇᴅ the third twin 10 days after the other two little sisters she was already carrying.
It is the same woman who talks about her abnormal pregnancy on TikTok under the handle “tamingtriplets.” With a following of 1.8 million followers, Charlotte has created a lot of interest in her story, and she has constantly updated her social profile with the pregnancy’s developments.
Charlotte said that although she gave birth to triplets, the girls were not ᴄᴏɴᴄᴇɪᴠᴇᴅ at the same time. In fact, she was already pregnant with twins before becoming pregnant again with her third.
When her doctor performed several ultrasounds and discovered that the third child conceived after that was smaller than the others, her suspicions were confirmed. In fact, at birth, she maintained a lower growth rate than the other two.
Charlotte’s condition has a precise name and is called “sᴜᴘᴇʀꜰᴇᴛᴀᴛɪᴏɴ.” It looks like a second pregnancy that began while the first was already in progress. “Ovulation takes about 24 hours, and sperm can live in the uterus for three to five days. Two of my triplets are 10 or 11 days “older” than the third sister, so we knew right away that it was a second pregnancy,” Charlotte explained.
A sᴜᴘᴇʀꜰᴇᴛᴀᴛɪᴏɴ is certainly rare, but it is not impossible for this to happen. In fact, Charlotte is an example of this.
When she gave the news of the birth, her followers celebrated with her. She named her little girls Georgina, Vivienne, and the youngest, Ivy.
“Georgina is our quiet, happy little girl who is one month ahead on social cues. Vivienne is the feisty and emotional Tasmanian devil; she’s ahead by a month in her gross motor skills. Ivy is our sweet, strong girl who is always watching and learning from her sisters,” with these words, the mother says of her children.
Today the little ones have grown up, and the mother shares photos and videos of their development on social networks to the delight of her followers.
